The Filter Bar allows users to create, edit, and apply filters on their screens. Its configuration is flexible, enabling the customization of both the appearance and behavior of the filters.

2. How to Configure

Access the Screen Configuration in the Page Builder: When selecting the option to create or edit a filter bar, you will be directed to the filter configuration screen.

Select Tables: On the configuration screen, a column will display all the available tables that can be included in the filter. Check the boxes for the desired tables and press the blue button to move them to the "Selected Dimensions" column, representing the parameters that will appear as selectors in the filter bar.

Configure the Filter Bar:

Primary Color: Defines the background color of the icon displayed in the Page Builder screen and the color of calendar icons.
Secondary Color: Defines the color of the symbol that appears in the filter bar on the Page Builder.
Apply Selection Button: Activate this option to ensure that the filter selections are only applied to the screen after clicking the apply button.
Wait for Selection to Display Components: Enable this option so that components are only displayed after a selection has been made.

3. Usage Example

Below is an example of using the Filter Bar to filter sales and target data by date and salesperson.

3.1 Step-by-Step

Initial Configuration: Access the Page Builder and go to “Settings”. Select a filter bar and create a new one, naming it something like "Example Filter".

Select Tables: On the filter configuration screen, add the tables "Calendar" and "Salesperson" to the "Selected Dimensions" column.

Configure Appearance:

Set the Primary Color to a shade of purple (#6a1b9a) and the Secondary Color to gray (#bdbdbd).
Activate the "Apply Selection Button" option so that the filter is only applied after the button is clicked.
Leave the "Wait for Selection to Display Components" option deactivated so that components are displayed immediately.

Apply Filters: After selecting a start and end date and a salesperson, click the Apply Selection button to filter the data displayed on the screen.
