Filter Other Components

1. Overview

The "Filter Other Components" functionality enables dynamic interaction between various components on a screen, similar to how dashboards function. It is available on both Page Builder (desktop) and mobile screens. This feature allows you to select, through the ID, which components will be updated when interacting with a specific component.

2. Configuring the "Filter Other Components" Interaction

To configure the "Filter Other Components" interaction in your platform, follow the steps below:

Access the Component Settings: Select the desired component on the screen and go to the interactions tab.

Select the Filtering Option: Choose the "Filter Other Components" option to set up the filtering.

Select Components to Be Filtered: A list of available components to receive the filter will be displayed. Each component can be identified by the format "component type: ID." To get the component ID, right-click on the desired component, and the ID will be displayed at the top of the pop-up, as shown in the image.

Select the Base Segment: Click on the segment of the component that will be used as the base for filtering. This segment will be highlighted.

Verify Selection Alerts: In the target components, an alert will appear indicating the selections received. For components like cards or screen views, the selection alert is not visible, but they can still be configured to receive selections from other components.

3. Usage Examples

Context: A company wants to analyze negotiation performance by executive, using a chart that shows the number of negotiations per executive and a table listing all negotiations. With the "Filter Other Components" functionality, it is possible to link the chart to the table so they interact with each other.

Configuration:

  • Chart: Negotiations by Executives: Component ID: 820.

  • Table: Negotiations: Component ID: 811.

Usage: When the user clicks on a specific executive in the chart, the table is updated to display only that executive's negotiations. If the user clicks on the same executive again, the filter is removed, and the table reverts to displaying all negotiations.
