Other Interactions

1. Overview

Other interactions are additional functionalities that can be applied to specific components. These interactions include: Drill, Focus, Export to XLSX, Switch Component, and Hide Columns. Each interaction offers a unique way to interact with and explore the presented data.

2. How to Configure

In the settings menu of the selected component, go to the “Interactions” section and enable the desired option.

3. Drill

Drill allows users to explore data from broader datasets to specific details. When other perspectives are available for exploration, options will appear. Once the lowest possible level is reached, no options will be displayed. This functionality is useful for understanding detailed information without losing the context of the main analysis.

Components that support "Drill" include: BARS, TABLE, FUNNEL, MAP, and PIE CHART.

5. Export to XLSX

This interaction allows exporting data from a table or chart into an .XLSX file, facilitating offline analysis or information sharing.

Components that support "Export to XLSX" include: BARS, FUNNEL, MAP, PIE CHART, TABLE, and TIMELINE.

5.1. Example of Use

A bar chart displays sales and targets by salesperson. The "Export to XLSX" functionality allows users to download this data in Excel format.

6. Switch Component

This functionality enables switching the visualization of a dataset between different types of components, such as from a table to a pie chart or a bar chart.

Components that support "Switch Component" include: BARS, FUNNEL, MAP, PIE CHART, TABLE, and TIMELINE.

6.1. Example of Use

Scenario: Targets and Sales Report by Salesperson.

A bar chart displays sales and targets by salesperson. With the "Switch Component" functionality, users can toggle between viewing the data as a bar chart or a table for different perspectives.
